People Roasting Imran Khan For Using His Residence As Wedding Venue

The internet has criticised Imran Khan after a wedding was held at the Prime Minister’s House of Pakistan over the weekend.

A section of the internet condemned Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan after a wedding was held at the Prime Minister House of Pakistan over the weekend. Netizens are primarily displeased because Imran Khan had stated last year that the Prime Minister’s House will be turned into an educational institution. But it appears that the PM’s residence is now being rented out as a wedding venue.

Brigadier Waseem Iftikhar Cheema’s daughter Anam Waseem’s grand wedding was held at the Prime Minister House of Pakistan on August 3. Imran Khan was present at the lavish ceremony as well which was attended by close friends and family. Brigadier Cheema is Military Secretary to Imran Khan.

Pictures from the wedding ceremony are being circulated across the internet while a photo of the invitation card cites the Prime Minister’s House as the venue.

Twitter is pretty much upset with Imran Khan for going against his word of converting the Prime Minister House of Pakistan into a university, and instead, allowing a wedding to be held in it. “Brigadier Waseem’s( PA to the PM of Pakistan) daughter’s wedding was held in the Prime Minister’s house. What a shame??? Austerity drives only for civilians??” an angry user commented.

People over the internet are quoting and roasting Imran khan by saying several harsh things like

“Imran khan failed to make PM House into a library but now PM house is bring used as wedding avenue by Brigadier Cheema. IK and all other Madinah Ki Riyasat group attended wedding which has cost 9 million Rupees paid by the suffering public. Welcome to Naya Pakistan”

“Sociology lecture going on in Prime Minister House University.”

“Did the PM serve drinks at this event? Start to turn the lights off at 930? Was he hired to be there and get his pictures taken? Did he offer to drive the groom to the venue? Was he waiting to open the car door when Brigadier sb arrived? So many questions.”

In 2018, Imran Khan announced the establishment of Islamabad National University at The House Of Prime Minister so as to promote higher education. “I will not live in the PM House and will convert it into an educational institution where common people have access,” Imran Khan had said after his victory in Pakistan’s general elections last year.

Imran Khan assumed office as the Prime Minister of Pakistan in August 2018.
